These new-to-DVD kids shows, plus a couple of documentaries, are led by classic Disney cartoons, packaged for fans of Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck and Pluto.

"Walt Disney's Classic Cartoon Favorites: Volume 10, Best Pals Mickey & Pluto" (Disney, 1942-51, not rated, $14.99). These collections of cartoons with the title stars are all classics and some are very funny. Included are Mickey & Minnie in "The Nifty Nineties" and a couple with Figaro the cat; Donald & Daisy star in one of the duck's best, "Donald's Dream Voice," in which a pill gives him a strong, masculine voice; and Mickey & Pluto do some traveling in "Pluto and the Armadillo" and "Plutopia." Great fun.

"Pooh's Grand Adventure: The Search for Christopher Robin" (Disney, 1997, G, $29.99). This so-so straight-to-video animated feature gets a reissue here. The bonus features include an interactive game, a featurette and the much better 1968 cartoon "Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day."

"Thundercats: Season 2, Volume 1" (Warner, 1986, not rated, $64.92, six discs). When it is discovered that three more of their kind survived the destruction of Thundera, the Thundercats take action to rescue them, battling evil Mumm-Ra and his force of mutants. More animated adventures for fans of this '80s show.

"TEENick Picks 1" (TEENick/Paramount, 2006, not rated, $16.99). Episodes from five of the shows on Nickelodeon that are aimed at young teens: "Zoey 101: Prank Week," "Romeo! Good Press," "Drake & Josh: We're Married," "Unfabulous: Little Sister," including two from "Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide," "Computer Labs" and "Backpacks."

"Destination America" (PBS/Paramount, 2005, not rated, $24.99). Just in time for the discussions of immigration, here comes a four-part documentary about our history of people from around the world feeling compelled to come to America, with lots of personal anecdotes and compelling stories.

"Deadly Ascent" (WGBH, 2006, not rated, $19.95). This hourlong NOVA documentary looks at high-altitude deaths, focusing on Denali National Park in Alaska and the summit of North America's highest peak, Mount McKinley.
