CARSON, Calif. — Cornell Glen scored two late goals as the Los Angeles Galaxy beat Chivas USA 2-1 in a game late Saturday night.
Glen evened the score in the 84th minute and won the game in stoppage time as the Galaxy (1-1-1) earned their first victory of the season. Ante Razov opened the scoring with his third goal in the 46th minute, but sloppy defending kept Chivas (1-2-0) from winning their first-ever match over their fellow stadium tenants.
Juan Pablo Garcia ran onto a loose ball inside the penalty area and slipped a pass to the front of the goal. Razov re-directed the ball into the back of the net.
It was the first time that Chivas had taken a lead over the Galaxy in five regular-season games. Chivas' lone goal last year in four league matches came after the Galaxy were leading comfortably 3-0 in the first-ever meeting between the two teams.
