Glennyce R. Kelsey 1926 ~ 2006 SYRACUSE - Glennyce R. Kelsey, 80, returned to her Heavenly Father Sunday, April 16, 2006 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born February 1, 1926 in Georgetown, Idaho the youngest daughter of Millard and Denina Lindsay Rodeback. Glennyce married Calixto Sena Canchola on June 5, 1948 in Ogden, Utah. They were the parents of three sons, Millard, Martin, and Maurice. They were later divorced. She then married Cecil D. Kelsey on August 14, 1965 in Shoshone, Idaho. He preceded her in death November 13, 1966. Glennyce graduated from Georgetown High School, Cosmetology School and took Sterilization Tech Classes. She prided herself on her ability to raise her three sons using her ingenuity and hard work. Glennyce enjoyed sewing, knitting, reading, gardening and cooking. Her family will cherish the things that she created and miss the delicious meals that she served. Roses will always serve as a reminder of her green thumb. She was a member of the LDS Church and served several callings in Relief Society and Primary. She really enjoyed her work in the extraction program. Surviving are three sons, Millard P. Canchola, Ogden; Martin K. (Teri) Canchola, Sandy; Maurice E. (Laureen) Canchola, Syracuse; 13 grandchildren, three great-granddaughters, and sister, Melba Thorne, Meridian, Idaho. Preceded in death by her parents, older brothers, Edgar M. Hayes, Lindsay W. Hayes and husband. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 20, 2006 at 11 a.m. at the Syracuse Bluff Stake Center, 2350 W. 1900 So. Friends and family may call Wednesday 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Thursday 9:30 to 10:30 at the church.
