Curtis Kjar Decker A Friend to All Our beloved, loving, faithful, devoted and funny grandpa, father, brother, uncle and friend; Curtis Kjar Decker passed away April 14, 2006. This great man will truly be missed. Born Feb 16, 1921 to Virgil Mahonri and Edith Pearl Kjar Decker, he grew up in Manti, Ut. In World War II he served in the Navy. He married Ida James in the Manti Temple. The children: Janice Barnett, Joyce, Morris (Cindy), Craig (Marian), Doyle (Robin), Trent (Coree) are so very appreciative of his great example which will guide them forever. He found great delight in his 24 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Survived by sister, Carol (Rex) and brother, Lee (JoAnn) We rejoice in his reunion with his wife and loved ones. He was a Safeway Stores truck driver for 43 years. Church callings included many years in: bishopric, high council, scouts, stake Sunday School and Young Men presidencies. Viewing will be Wednesday, April 19, 2006, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Estates, 6500 S. Redwood Rd. Funeral Services are Thursday, April 20, 2006 at noon, 1301 S. 1200 W., Cannon 3rd/4th Wards, with viewing one hour prior to the service.
