Marcia H. Grinnell-Bisbee She Will Be Missed Mrs. Marcia Smith Grinnell-Bisbee of Laurinburg, NC formerly of Salt Lake City, UT died on Sunday, April 16, 2006 at the age of 82 at her home in Scotia Village. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at Scotia Village in the Morgan Room in Laurinburg, officiated by John Cottingham and Reverend Patricia Stone. Interment will be held at a later date at Oak Grove Cemetery in Fall River, MA. Mrs. Grinnell-Bisbee was born in Fall River, MA, daughter of the late William C. and Irma MacIlwain Smith. She was the wife of Alan J. Bisbee and the widow of the late King A. Grinnell. She lived in North Carolina most of her life. The 1940 Graduate of Durfee High School and the former Thibodeau Business College. She was employed for many years as a legal secretary for the firm of Buffinton, Crowther, Bogle & Westgate Attorneys at Law. She also worked with Hathaway Funeral Service in Fall River. She was an avid genealogist, a member of the Bisbee Family Association, Grinnell Family Association, New England Historic and Genealogical Society and the Maine Old Cemetery Association. She was a former member of the Fall River Woman's Club, Little Theater of Fall River and the Union United Methodist Church where she served as a choir member for over 25 years. She was also preceded in death by a stepson, Alan L, Bisbee of Laurinburg; sisters, Janice E. Terry and Barbara H. Holt. Mrs. Grinnell-Bisbee is survived by her husband Alan Jackson Bisbee of Laurinburg; a son, David Malcolm Grinnell and wife Denice of West Jordan. UT; a stepson, Richard C. Bisbee and wife Joan of Greenville, NC; a daughter-in-law, Ruth Bisbee of Laurinburg; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family request that memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the Hospice of one's choice. Richard Boles Funeral Service of Laurinburg is serving the family.
