Students Koning Shen of Logan High and Gleb Kuznetsov from West High, Skyline teacher Adella Serrin Croft and Bingham High School have received Advanced Placement awards from the Siemens Foundation.

Up to two students, one teacher and one high school in each state were honored for leading the nation in AP science and math course participation and performance. Students were selected for earning the greatest number of 5's — the top score — on AP tests, and receive $2,000 scholarships for their prowess. Winning teachers receive a $1,000 award, and schools receive a $1,000 grant to support science and math education.
