BASEBALL: Southern Utah will have to wait one more day to open its seasonlong 12-game road swing as the Thunderbirds' mid-week game at in-state rival Utah scheduled for today has been postponed due to snow in Salt Lake City. The game will be played Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Ute Field on the Utah campus.

WOMEN'S TENNIS: The Aggies lost a close match to Idaho State 4-3 here in Logan on Monday afternoon. The loss gives the Aggies a 9-9 spring season record.

The Aggies started off strong by getting the doubles point with Johannes Zelle and Joao Pinho taking the No. 1 spot defeating Marc Pijoan and Pablo Garces 8-6. Idaho State took the No. 2 spot in doubles. Bryan Marchant and Michael Banks took the No. 3 spot defeating Ryo Sakamoto and Masimba Ruwo, 8-0.

SOFTBALL: Coming off its most productive offensive week in program history, BYU looks to remain hot as it takes on three in-state opponents.

The Cougars (28-14, 8-2 MWC) will take a break from conference play when they head to Logan to take on Utah State in a Tuesday doubleheader before hosting Utah Valley State on Thursday.

Today's twin bill starts at 2 p.m. while Thursday's game starts at 6 p.m. On Saturday BYU will return to the road and MWC play when it takes on Utah beginning at noon.

Also, senior infielder Trever Dimick was named Mid-Continent Conference offensive player of the week Monday for the third time this season after his performance last week in the Thunderbirds' series win over league foe Centenary. Dimick (Ben Lomond HS) hit safely in all four games and batted .692 with seven RBIs.

SOFTBALL: SUU plays six games for the second consecutive week this week, with a doubleheader today vs. Utah Valley State and a pair of Mid-Continent Conference doubleheaders on the weekend in Indianapolis, Ind., vs. IUPUI. The Thunderbirds (18-27, 10-2 Mid-Con) have won 16 of their last 20 games. UVSC (13-27) and SUU split a previous doubleheader on April 4.

Also, Amy Sauer has been named Mid-Continent Conference pitcher of the week for her performance in last weekend's softball sweep at Western Illinois. Sauer, a senior from Las Vegas, went 2-0 with an ERA of 0.61 last week.
