PROVO — A former securities salesman from Spanish Fork appeared in 4th District Court Monday to face felony charges that he stole money from his clients.

Bryan L. Pendleton, 48, was charged in February with three counts of theft, a second-degree felony, and one count of communications fraud, a third-degree felony.

Pendleton, a licensed securities salesman from 2000 until 2004, is alleged to have taken more than $20,000 from three customers, according to the Utah Department of Commerce. He also borrowed an additional $35,000 from other customers.
