Carolyn R. Bailey 1937 ~ 2006 Carolyn Rae Ross Chandler Bailey, 69, passed away April 2, 2006 in Logan, Utah. She was born January 26, 1937 to Nora Louise and George (Tex) Ross in Park City, Utah. She married Ivan Morton Chandler, October 14, 1955 and had two children, Keith and Kim. Later she was married and sealed to Reid Jewkes Bailey, Jan 10, 1975, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Music was a big love in her life. She sang with trios in High School, with her father's band "Tex Ross and the Rhythm Wranglers" and continued singing in church choirs and in duets with her husband Reid throughout her life. Carolyn was an active member of the LDS church and served in the Young Women's program for many years. She loved handwork, especially crocheting and was generous in sharing her talents and teaching others to enjoy them as well. She loved to garden and grew such beautiful flowers in Ephraim that students would take pictures in her yard for their photography classes. But her greatest love was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carolyn is survived by her father Tex (Mary) Ross; brothers: Gib (Lisa), Lucky, Randy, Kent (Lori) all of Vernal; sisters: Colleen Heatherly (Don), Vernal, and Rhonda (Bob) Soper, Ohio; children Keith (Michelle) Chandler, Spring City, Kim (Les) Nielsen, Nibley; stepchildren: Judy Hutchings, Dorothy (Keith) Griffiths, Kandy (Gayle) Burke, Steve (Pat) Bailey, all from the Salt Lake area; and Leslee Bailey, Tooele; and oodles of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her mother Nora Louise Ross, her husband Reid Jewkes Bailey and her sister Louann Allen Bindrup.
