LOS ANGELES (AP) — A jury awarded more than $1.5 million to a former city prosecutor who claimed she was retaliated against and ultimately fired for reporting mistakes and misconduct by other city attorneys.

The city may also have to pay Lynn Magnandonovan's legal fees, which are expected to exceed $2 million, said her attorney, Samuel J. Wells.
