Sheriff's officers were investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian accident Thursday night.

Just after 9 p.m., a 43-year-old man was hit while attempting to cross 700 East near 4000 South. The man was not crossing in a marked crosswalk or at an intersection, said Salt Lake County Sheriff's Lt. Rod Norton.
