NEW YORK — Seattle SuperSonics forward Rashard Lewis was suspended for one game without pay by the NBA on Thursday for reckless driving.

Lewis, who will miss the Sonics' game tonight at Portland, pleaded guilty to reckless driving and was given a one-year suspended sentence Monday, five months after he failed sobriety and breath tests during a stop on I-90.

Lewis initially pleaded not guilty to drunken driving. He reached the plea deal with prosecutors after a judge ruled the breath tests were not admissible.

Lewis will serve 24 hours of community service, two years of probation and pay $175 to reimburse the State Patrol for emergency response costs. He also received a $5,000 fine, but as long as he stays out of trouble he'll only have to pay $350. He also must take an alcohol information class and attend a DUI victims panel.
