Several years ago, some doctors stated boldly that a certain young man had only a few months to live unless he received immediate and intense chemotherapy treatment. The young man's family was vilified in the media, which took the stance, essentially, that the doctors knew what they were talking about. Now that it is clear that the doctors were wrong, the attitude seems to be, "doctors are only human, they had no way of knowing."
Why have the media not asked the hard questions? Have I missed it, or have reporters not been doing their job?
