Jamie Moreno scored twice to help D.C. United beat Chivas USA 2-0 at home on Saturday for their first victory of the season.
Moreno deflected Chivas goalkeeper Brad Guzan's sliding clearance into an empty net in the 59th minute, and added a goal in stoppage time, striking Freddy Adu's curling cross off Guzan's palm and into the top left corner.
Adu, who entered the match for Christian Gomez in the 76th minute, also had a breakaway chance denied by Guzan in the 90th minute. Adu's omission from the starting lineup was a surprise to most after he played all 90 minutes in United's opener, contributing two assists in a 2-2 draw with New York.
RED BULLS 0, REVOLUTION 0: At East Rutherford, N.J., New England goalkeeper Matt Reis made a diving save on Amado Guevara's shot in the final minute in the Revolution's tie with New York.
WIZARDS 2, DYNAMO 1: At Houston, Jose Luis Burciaga Jr. scored in the 90th minute for Kansas City.
Sasha Victorine also scored for the Wizards (2-0), and Brian Ching had the lone goal for Houston (1-1).
RAPIDS 3, CREW 1: At Denver, Terry Cooke assisted on all three of Colorado's goals.
Cooke set up Jovan Kirovski's tying goal in the 35th minute, and also assisted on Kyle Beckerman's 50th-minute goal and Fabrice Noel's 67th-minute score.
