Murder charges have been filed against a man who surrendered to police after they surrounded an apartment he was apparently hiding in last week.
Anthony Zinnerman, 38, was charged in 3rd District Court Wednesday in the July 12 shooting death of 35-year-old Mauricio Guzman-Escobar, causing gunshot injury to a woman and attempting to shoot another man in an altercation behind a homeless shelter.
He is charged with first-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder, both second-degree felonies. He is also considered a restricted person due to an aggravated assault conviction in 1997.
Zinnerman is being held in the Salt Lake County Jail on $100,000 bail.
