Val Park 1952 ~ 2006 Val David Park died unexpectedly and tragically due to smoke asphyxiation in a Bed & Breakfast building fire while on work assignment in Dresden, Germany on July 15, 2006. Loving, witty, thoughtful, Val was born on August 16, 1952 in New York City, New York. He was the son of Evelyn Hannah Park and William Charles Park, both deceased. He was raised in Westwood Los Angeles and was a graduate of Harvard School. He graduated in Business from Brigham Young University. He later earned his MBA from Westminster College. Val was project manager of many large accounts in diversified fields throughout his professional life. He was a bright and skilled businessman who enjoyed collaborating, negotiating, and working with clients and customers. Val loved the landscape of Utah. Camping, skiing, hiking and sharing moments in the outdoors with his loved ones were the best moments of his life. He was passionate about music and loved playing his guitars and mandolin. Val lived quietly, with integrity, deep love, honor, placing family and loved ones first and at the center and periphery of his existence. He is survived by his wife Katherine; twin brother, J. Scott Park of South Lake Texas; children, William David, Joseph Scott, James Alexander, Abigail Hannah; adoring sisters in-law; brothers-in-law; mother in law; many nieces and nephews. His love made us strong. We would like to thank family members, countless friends and neighbors for extending such heart felt love and kindness during this most difficult time. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday July 29th at Noon at the Monument Park First Ward; 1005 South 2000 East, Salt Lake City Utah, where friends and family may call one hour prior to the services.
