Obituary: Mary Bethers

Mary Bethers 1918 ~ 2006 HEBER CITY -.Our loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Mary Elizabeth Davis Bethers, age 88, passed away July 26, 2006, at the Heritage Park Care Center, Roy, Utah. Mary was born June 10, 1918 in Charleston, Utah to Alexander M. and Carrie Winterton Davis. Married Harris W. Bethers on August 13, 1936, in Provo, Utah. She was also a Primary teacher and counselor in the Primary. She was the ward Librarian for 52 years. She was secretary and historian for Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Mary and Harris soon after they were married began the Harris Bethers Construction Co. and worked side by side for over 50 years. She loved her life, family and friends and in return was loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed. Survived by her children; Mary Ann Bethers and Pauline (Ed) Molenaar all of Farr West, Utah. Brother; Barton Davis, of Heber City. Grandchildren; Kristen Stephenson, Stephanie (Branden) Piper, great-grandchildren; Makayla Stephenson, Brooklyn and Trey Piper. Preceded in death by husband and two sisters. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 31, 2006 at 12:00 noon at the Heber 4th Ward Chapel, 500 S. 200 W. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. and 10:45-11-45 a.m. prior to services both at the Church. Interment will be in the Heber City Cemetery.
