In your editorial, "The truth about happiness" (July 27), you mention that active LDS youths are happy. Of course, the people who are able to live up to the standards are going to be happy. The active youths do fairly well at living up to those standards. Or, in other words, the youths living happily are happy.

The question should be whether inactive LDS youths and non-LDS youths are happy. If Utah has the highest rate for depression medication for youths other than active LDS youths, it must be reasonable to say that living in Utah is extremely depressing for everyone but active LDS youths.
