I am very pleased to hear that "edited" flicks will be taken off the shelf. They are definitely a violation of copyright. Like Mrs. Kartchner said (Readers' Forum, July 15), Hollywood will lose a lot of money — as it should. If we stop watching the films that are being made today, it will have to make more movies that please its consumers.

As it is, filmmakers can put whatever filth they want in and sleep peacefully at night. If we truly want to see better movies, let us demand them by only going to, buying and renting what is already clean. Then they will get the message.
