PAYSON — Swaying tartans and heaving cabers are some of the fun things residents will find at the annual Scottish Festival July 8 and 9 at Payson Memorial Park, 250 S. Main. Ethnic foods will be sold and cultural exhibits will be open throughout the two days. Listed below are events and activities:
Friday night-July 8 — Bandstand performances 6-9 p.m. (Transcendent of Shadow & Flame; Kindred Voices; An Dragan Ceilteach).
Saturday-July 9 — Breakfast at 7:30 p.m. in both food booths; competitions begin: athlete, band anddance; Parade at 9 a.m.; bandstand performances 10 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m.; massed bands from noon-1 p.m.; closing ceremonies and awards at 4 p.m.
