Obituary: Anita Gardikis Baletka

Anita Gardikis Baletka 1934 ~ 2006 WEST VALLEY CITY- Anita Baletka, 72, our loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away July 3, 2006 after a lingering illness. She was born February 26, 1934 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Harry and Lucille Gadberry Gardikis. On September 6, 1949 she married Adolph John "AJ" Baletka in Peoche, Nevada. Anita served as Secretary-Treasurer for the Granger Little League football for 17 years. She grew up in Copperfield, Utah and attended Bingham High School. Survivors: husband, Adolph "AJ" Baletka; sons, Sonny Baletka, John Everett Baletka (Joanne); grandchildren, April Stutzman (Firman), Jerad Baletka (Jennifer), Wesley Baletka, Jordan Baletka; sister, Bessie Jackson; brother, John (Jean) Gardikis; extended family, Steve and Tracy Sandquist and children. Preceded in death by a daughter, Terry Lynn Bennett. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 8, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State where friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. or Saturday one hour prior to services. Interment, Mountain View Memorial Estates.
