Hospice volunteers needed — Many hospices throughout the valley need volunteers to provide support and compassion for hospice patients and their families. Dial 211 for information.

Salt Lake Regional Medical Center — Looking for caring individuals who can share their time, talents and energy to enhance the quality of patient care.

The Utah Museum of Natural History — Needs volunteers to help with summer camp. Requires interest in science and working with kids. Must be at least 15.

Fano Maohi of Utah — Looking for volunteer staff for two-day Tahitian Dance Festival with groups from Utah, California, Hawaii, Florida and guest appearance from a group in Tahiti July 21 and 22.

Crossroads Urban Center — Looking for volunteers to help pick up and deliver food to senior housing complexes on the third Saturday of every month, only two to three hours once a month from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

American Red Cross — Volunteers needed for data entry, receptionists, grant writers and researchers, filing and light secretary work, help with utilities program and training coordination.

Heart & Soul — Looking for performers to share music with neighbors who are living in institutions or are otherwise isolated. Two-hour commitment each month.

Juvenile Justice Services — Volunteers and/or gardening supplies needed for youth garden. The gardens benefit two disadvantaged populations, at-risk youths and homeless shelters. Mentor youths while teaching a valuable skill. Hours flexible.

Splore — Needs volunteers now to help plan annual October Harvest Auction to raise funds for outdoor recreation opportunities for people with disabilities and at-risk youths.

South Valley Sanctuary — Domestic violence shelter needs volunteers in the morning from 9-noon for various activities.
