Westminster College has announced the schedule for its 2006 AWE+SUM summer camp for girls.
The camp is open to girls entering the eighth grade this fall. This year's camp includes three fun-filled days that will immerse students in interactive learning experiences in both science and math, while giving them a taste of life on the Westminster College campus. The first session was held at the end of June, and the second session of the AWE+SUM camp will be July 16—19.
Participants will also get to play beach volleyball, take hikes by the creek on campus and enjoy meals in the Shaw Student Center. Westminster math and science faculty and students will assist with the workshops. Girls will stay two to a room in the residence halls on campus and adult counselors will be present at all times. The entire cost of the camp is $25 per person. For more information, contact AWE+SUM director Carolyn Connell at 832-2402 or by e-mail at cconnell@westminstercollege.edu.
