LaFae Atkinson 1924 ~ 2006 Our loving mother and wife, LaFae Bennett Atkinson, age 82, died Wed., July 26, 2006 at Dixie Regional Hospital in St. George, Utah. She was born February 11, 1924 to Phillip John and Maude M. Walker Bennett in Syracuse, Utah. On November 10, 1941, she married Victor Thomas Atkinson in Dayton, Idaho. They were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple. LaFae grew up in Syracuse, Utah, lived in Ogden, Utah, Roy, Utah and moved to Overton, Nevada in 1964. She was always active in the LDS Church, serving in many fulfilling callings. She worked as a nurse's assistant at the McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden for several years. She was a great support and constant companion to her husband as they operated several businesses in Ogden and Overton. She will be remembered as a very classy, unpretentious, generous and sophisticated lady. She always put other's comfort before her own. Survivors include her loving husband of 65 years, Vic of Overton; one son, Robert "Bob" (Fran) of Hampton, VA; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters: Reed (Jean) Bennett of Oceanside, CA; Beverly (LeGrande) Belnap of Hooper, UT; Nadine Adams of Syracuse, UT and Sherman (Susan) Bennett of Mesquite, Nevada. She was preceded in death by one son, Richard. Funeral services will be Monday, July 31, 2006 at 10 a.m. at the Overton LDS 2nd Ward Chapel. Visitation will be Sunday, July 30, 2006 from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Moapa Valley Mortuary and again Monday, one hour prior to services at the Chapel. Interment will be Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at 11 a.m. in the Syracuse Cemetery under the direction of Moapa Valley Mortuary, 702 398-3600.
