Salt Lake-based DataChem Laboratories said Monday it has acquired CCI Analytical Laboratories, based in Everett, Wash., for $2.3 million in cash.
The combined company will have about 185 employees.
CCI provides analytical services to government agencies and private clients in the Puget Sound area and specializes in soil and groundwater testing for chemical and toxic contaminants.

DataChem, also an analytical testing lab company, now has laboratories in Salt Lake City; Fort Collins, Colo.; and Cincinnati.
