IDAHO FALLS, Idaho — The Orem Owlz staved off a late Idaho Falls rally Monday to win their fourth straight and defeat the Chukars, 6-4.

Orem led 6-1 heading into the bottom of the ninth, but Owlz reliever John Sullivan faced three hitters and didn't retire any of them. Sullivan punctuated his outing by allowing a three-run homer to Idaho Falls first baseman Jase Turner that pulled the Chukars to within, 6-4.

Luckily for Orem, Felipe Arredondo was on standby and ready to come in and finish the game. He replaced Sullivan following the home run and quickly set down three straight Idaho Falls batters to notch his third save of the season.

ROCKIES 5, RAPTORS 0: At Casper, a quartet of Casper pitchers held the Raptors to just two hits in handing Ogden its fourth shutout loss of the season Monday night.

With the loss the Raptors fall to 0-2 in the second half of the Pioneer League slate, while the Rockies improve to 2-0 — and both wins have been over Ogden.

Robinson Fabian improved to 3-1 by allowing just one hit while striking out three in six innings.

Rick Taloa and Carlos Santana had Ogden's two hits.
