Mutual of Omaha's Drive, Chip & Putt Junior Challenge, presented by the Golf Channel, will be held Saturday, at 1 p.m. at the Rose Park Golf Course, 1386 N. Redwood Road in Salt Lake City. The event provides boys and girls ages 7-14 with an opportunity to compete and develop their golf skills. The event is free. Children who have an interest in golf, regardless of their skill level or previous exposure to the game, are encouraged to take part. There are four age categories to compete in: 7-8; 9-10; 11-12; and 13-14. Prizes are awarded for the top competitors in each of the driving, chipping and putting skills, and the top three overall scorers in each age group qualify for a regional event. Participants can earn a spot in the national championship in Orlando by winning their age group at regionals. To register for the event or for information, sign up at www.thegolfchannel.com.
