JoAnn Ernest Turner 05/04/39 ~ 08/13/06 JoAnn Ernest Turner, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away unexpectedly of heart failure on Sunday, August 13, 2006. She was born May 4, 1939 in Salt Lake City, Utah to wonderful parents, Joseph Robert and Rowena Maxfield Ernest (both preceded her). She was raised and educated in Herriman, Utah. On May 28, 1958 she married Lynn H. Turner in the Salt Lake Temple. They have been long-time residents of Murray, Utah. She was a wonderful mother to JoLynn (Richard) Snelgrove, Bruce (MaryAnn) Turner, Brad and Brett Turner. A fun-loving grandmother to Bryan (Christina), Snelgrove, Lyndsay (Cameron) Cotter, Tyler (serving in the Argentina, Resistencia Mission) and Kylee Snelgrove, Brandon (Amanda) Turner, Jason Turner, Nathan (Emily) Turner, Erin, Katelin, Jessianne and Madison Turner. Proud great-grandmother to Isabella Cotter and two great-grandsons expected soon. Mother's greatest joy was her family but, a close second was her work as the "lunch lady" for 30 years, at Hillcrest Jr. High, Arlington, Grant, Parkside, McMillan, and Horizon Elementary Schools. Since her retirement, she has loved her service as a temple worker at the Jordan River Temple. She is survived by her husband; children; sisters, Kathryn (Bob) Gregory, Maxine (C.J.) Lindquist; brothers, Robert (Barbara) Ernest, Holly (Launa) Ernest and Leon (Loretta) Ernest, sister-in-laws, Jackie (Larry) Christensen, Beryl Morley, Della (Stan) Harris and Norma (Arnold) Schmidt. Funeral services will be held on Thurs., August 17, 2006 at 1 p.m. at the Winchester Ward, 6300 So. 700 W. Friends and family may call Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street, and Thursday from 12:00-12:45 p.m. at the church prior to services.
