Course description: From the middle tees, the course isn't very long at just under 6,000 yards. However, the narrow fairways make hitting the ball straight a premium and balls in the desert can be hard to find. The layout is fairly flat, but a few elevation changes make for some challenging shots. Water comes into play on six of the holes and approximately 40 bunkers dot the course.

Fun fact: The course is owned and operated by the Wendover Recreation District and has close ties with the hotels in town. About 80 percent of the golfers use the $32 coupon they get at the hotels in Wendover.

Holes to remember: The par-5 No. 3 hole has a lake down the left side with the green tucked behind it, making for a challenging approach shot. The 9th hole requires an approach shot over a lake to a deep green. The 14th and 15th are dogleg par-4s reachable by the longer hitters, who want to take the risk off the tee. The 18th hole is uphill with a fairway bunker on the right and a stream to hit across near the green.
