Noel Bills 1919 ~ 2006 Paul, ID- Noel Bills, 87, of Paul, Idaho, passed away August 16, 2006, at Minidoka Memorial Hospital of a short illness. Noel was born June 20, 1919, in Riverton, Utah, to Reynold and Gladys Marie Hamilton Bills. He graduated from Jordan High School and attended Utah State University. He served in the US Army from 1941-45, in Germany and was in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a carpenter from the time he left the army and worked in construction of commercial and residential buildings. On May 28, 1942, he married LaVe Wahlquist in the Salt Lake City Temple. She later passed away and he then married Cleora Wright Maxfield December 9, 1988, in the Boise Temple. Noel lived in Murray, Utah until 1993, when he moved to Paul, Idaho. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in bishoprics, Scouting, High Priests Group leader, and currently was serving at the Family History Center where he fulfilled a Family History Mission. He enjoyed genealogy and keeping his family's homes in top condition. Noel is survived by his wife, Cleora; children, Lane (Jack) Godfrey of Burley; Irene (Vern) Thiemig of West Valley, Utah; and John Mark Bills of West Valley, Utah; step children, Jae (Jan) Maxfield of Rockford, Michigan; Ward (Judy) Maxfield of Paul, Idaho; and Jerry (Robyn) Maxfield of Rupert; 33 grandchildren; 38 great-grand-children; and brother, Reed (Phyllis) Bills of Murray, Utah. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, LaVe; two granddaughters; one brother; and one sister. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 21, 2006, at the Paul LDS Stake Center, 424 W. Ellis St., with Bishop Kelly Arritt officiating. A viewing for family and friends will be held 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Hansen Mortuary Rupert Chapel, 710 6th St., and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. Graveside services will be 4:00 p.m. Monday at the Murray City Cemetery in Utah.
