Ruth Naomi Turner Colledge 1923 ~ 2006 There was a happy reunion in heaven on August 14, 2006 when Ruth Naomi Turner Colledge peacefully passed away after many years of suffering. She was born October 26, 1923, the oldest child of Fredrick Charles Turner and Naomi Hannah Walker. She married the love of her life, Evan LeRoy Colledge Jr. on March 18, 1942. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She was a loving and supportive wife for 62 years. She was a doting mother of 6 children, Naomi, Opal, Neal, Evelyn, Ruth Ann and Scott. She loved and supported her children and grandchildren in their many activities, sports, cheerleading dancing and their other pursuits. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in leadership positions in the Lehi 3rd and 7th Wards. She served as Relief Society President and Counselor in the YW program. She also served many years in the Primary. She was compassionate and caring. Her many friends, family and neighbors were the recipients of her baked goods, crocheting and knitted items. She is survived by her loving husband, Evan, son-in-law, Gary Gray, daughters, Opal (Robert) Peterson, Evelyn Christensen, Ruth Ann (Tim) Tuttle, sons, Neal (Leslie), and Scott, (Susan); 27 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, Earl (Bud) Turner, sisters, Jean Brems and Donna Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Naomi Gray, granddaughter Ashlie Christensen, and a sister Bessie Chadwick. Funeral, Saturday, Aug. 19, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lehi 7th Ward LDS Chapel, 1149 N. 300 W. Friends and family may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Wing Mortuary, 118 E.
