Kay W Robbins 1938 ~ 2006 Kay W Robbins, 67, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family after a short battle with cancer on August 16, 2006. Dad was born to Erral and Evelyn Robbins on Dec. 2, 1938 in American Fork, Utah. He was raised in Pleasant Grove and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School. Dad married his high school sweetheart, Wanda Wilkinson, March 14, 1958 in the Salt Lake Temple. Dad could do almost anything he put his mind to. He was a licensed contractor, building steel buildings, a concrete finisher, an electrician and recently a very good leather craftsman, even making saddles were some of his talents. Dad was a welder at Geneva Steel in the Rolling Mills retiring in 1986. He always worked two jobs, Geneva Steel and Robbins Storage & Welding. For that reason Dad and Mom were able to retire and start Dads dream, a farm in Manti. It also gave them an opportunity to travel to Arizona during the winters and they made many, many good friends. At the time of Dads passing he was over the Sanpete County Fair Antique Tractor Show and The Dutch Oven Cook Off. Dad is survived by his wife of 48 years, Wanda, two sons and two daughters. Wendy (Danny) McClellan, Lehi; Scott (Laura) Robbins, Lindon; Mark (Kathy) Robbins, Pleasant Grove; Suzette (Rick) Oss, Salem. 13 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, also his dog Shadow, who was always by Dads side. One brother, Daryl (Kathleen) Robbins, Tremonton; two sisters, Colleen Larsen, Pleasant Grove; Barbara Ann (Bob) Searle, Salem. Two very special friends, Andy and Merlene Anderson who were always there for Mom and Dad. Nicole Madsen, a special H2O girl and Jack Sargent who did so much to help. Preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law and two brothers-in-law. The family would like to thank the Sanpete County Hospice, Carol, Cheryl, Karl and Angie for their amazing and loving care of our Dad and Husband. "Happy Trails Dad", we love you and admire you for your hard work, and for the great man that you were! Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at 11:00 am in the Pleasant Grove Stake Center Chapel, 275 East 500 South, Pleasant Grove.
