A two-car accident left four people, including a baby, hospitalized Monday.
A woman and a 4-month-old baby were thrown from a midsize SUV when a small passenger car broadsided it near 4000 South and 300 East at about 6 p.m., said Salt Lake County Sheriff's Lt. Rod Norton. They were said to be in critical condition with life-threatening injuries. The woman driving the SUV was listed in serious condition.
Norton said preliminary investigations have not been able to determine which vehicle caused the accident.
The driver of the passenger car, a 20-year-old female, left the scene but later returned with her father. Her 41-year-old passenger was in serious condition.
Norton said the accident is still under investigation.
