Wells E. Ellertson 1923 ~ 2006 MONA, Ut- Wells Ephraim Ellertson, 82, beloved brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully in his sleep, August 21, 2006 in the Central Valley Medical Center in Nephi, Utah of causes incident to an automobile accident. Wells was born October 12, 1923 in Fairview, Utah, the eldest son of Ephraim Alton Ellertson and Verde Helena Cheney Ellertson. He married Betty Elaine Straub on August 18, 1946 in Mona, Utah and later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on May 5, 1962. Wells attended schools in Mona and Nephi, before enlisting in the Navy during World War II. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many callings. Wells is survived by his wife Betty of Mona; sons, John (Judy) Ellertson of Brigham City; Larry (Linda) Ellertson of Lindon, UT; Clyde (Phyllis) Ellertson of Plain City, UT; daughter-in-law Ann Cooper Ellertson of Maxwell, Texas; foster daughter, Karen (Derik) Dalton of Kila, Montana; 21grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; sister, Agnes (Les) Schwaar of Encondido, California; brother, Win (Laura) Ellertson of Mesa, AZ. Preceded in death by son, Clinton Paul Ellertson and grandson, Cody Wells Ellertson. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, August 26, 2006 in the Mona LDS Chapel in Mona, Utah. A viewing will be held at the church, Saturday prior to the services from 10:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Interment, the Mona Cemetery.
