FARMINGTON — Lagoon stood still for nearly two hours Saturday after a power outage forced the amusement park's workers to manually remove people from rides.
The cause of the outage was being investigated, but Lagoon spokesman Dick Andrew said Saturday's customers can come back for a free day to compensate for the down time.

Andrew said outages aren't common at Lagoon, but the park has an evacuation plan for each ride in case the power does go out. Gravity aided in removing people from most of the rides, along with ladders that are built into the rides' structures, he said.
