SHARE Electrical engineering at BYU gains chief

PROVO — Michael Jensen has been named chairman of the department of electrical and computer engineering at Brigham Young University. He replaces Lee Swindlehurst, who has returned to full-time teaching in the department.

Jensen received his bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering from BYU. He completed his doctorate at UCLA in 1994 and joined the BYU faculty the same year. He has been active in teaching and research throughout his career, and holds the Newman and Zeneth Ward Endowed Chair in Electrical Engineering at BYU. The endowment provides funds for research and travel.
