Recently, 100 Iraqi soldiers refused to go to Baghdad to help American soldiers restore order because it was too far from their home province. We've been torturing the wrong people.

Meanwhile, our guys — about 8,000 miles from their own home provinces — are trying to protect the Iraqi soldiers' sorry backsides in this the third year of their boot camp.

The Third Brigade of the Second Iraqi Division refused to go to Ramadi where American troops are trying to drive out the insurgents. The brigades battle flag is a white handkerchief.

"As the Iraqis stand up, we will stand down," said the president. But what do we do when the Iraqis are in a fetal position?
