Joyce Shaugnessy Ravarino "Nonnie Ravarino" Joyce loved her life as a wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her flowers, pets, playing bridge with her wonderful friends and all things Irish. She married Angelo J. Rava-rino, Jr. June 8, 1942 in San Diego, CA. They had six children. Joyce graduated from Ogden High School and Holy Cross Hospital School of Nursing. She worked in San Diego as a nurse during World War II after marrying Angelo. In 1965, Joyce was named Catholic Mother of the Year thanks to info furnished by her youngest son, Jim. Joyce was a member of the Catholic Women's League, Hibernian Society, and 49ers Club. Joyce cared for son, Michael, after he was injured in 1969 until 1993. Joyce is survived by her children, Dan (Carol), John (Pat), Jim (Mary), Mary Kay Erickson (Todd), and Carol Wilcox (Jim). She is preceded in death by Angelo and Mick Ravarino. She has 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren all of whom she loved very much and was blessed with a little extra time to visit with most of them prior to her death.
