DRAPER — S5 Wireless said Thursday it has raised $11.5 million in a second financing round.

Eagle River Holdings led the round, with existing investor vSpring Capital and Wasatch Venture Fund also participating. The latter two are based in Salt Lake City.

S5 said the funding will accelerate its activities in providing wireless communications technology for tracking and monitoring. The company offers embeddable semiconductors that enable location accuracy similar to GPS indoors/outdoors without using GPS.
