Kendra and Maliyah Herrin are "close to going home," according to Primary Children's Medical Center spokeswoman Bonnie Midget.

Thursday afternoon, doctors were discussing whether the girls would leave the hospital today or Monday. The decision will likely be made this morning.

The twins, who were born joined at midtorso and separated in a 26-hour surgery in early August, are the daughters of Jake and Erin Herrin of North Salt Lake.
