SOCCER: UVSC picked up a 2-0 road win over the University of Idaho on Friday improving the Wolverines' record to 3-3-1. The Wolverines took a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute, thanks to an own goal by Idaho goal keeper Michelle Jordan. On the play, Courtney Robbins blasted a kick from 35 yards out, but as the keeper caught the ball she fell back inside the goal.

Robbins tallied the game's final goal when she scored off a cross pass from Jenni Wright in the 73rd minute. Wright dribbled across three Idaho defenders and crossed into the middle of the field where she found Robbins for the goal.

BASEBALL:University of Utah head coach Bill Kinneberg will have his full 2007 squad together on the practice field for the first time Monday. That's when the Utes begin fall practices, which run through Oct. 10, in preparation for the 2007 season. This fall's practice slate is filled with plenty of intrasquad scrimmages—14 to be exact—in an effort to get Utah ready for the rigors of the upcoming season. With 14 new players, Kinneberg said that time helped get the newcomers acquainted with their teammates and coaches. Now, he said, it is time to get to work. The biggest hole for Utah will be that of departed shortstop Ryan Khoury, who spent the summer and fall in the Boston Red Sox minor-league organization.
