CHIHUAHUA, Mexico — Youth of the Chihuahua Mexico Technologico Stake recently took the names of 800 of their ancestors to the Colonia Juarez Mexico Temple and were baptized in their behalf, said Luis Juarez Hurtado, first counselor in the stake presidency.
First, the youth and leaders first made a number of trips to the family history center, primarily to prepare the names for temple work. Then, on Aug. 12, 56 youth accompanied by their leaders, traveled by bus and car to the colonies to the temple.
At the end of the temple session, the group ate lunch on the temple grounds, and then toured the nearby Paquime archaeological site where they learned more of the ancient residents of the area.
"The youth strengthened their testimonies as they did this great work," said President Juarez.
