NASCAR is a sport where the most daring and determined driver, who is willing to cut others off and pass at all costs, wins the prize. Unfortunately, contrary to many people's beliefs, Utah roads are not the Daytona 500.

After having lived here for more than a year, I am petrified to get behind the wheel. Speed limits go unheeded; tailgaters look like they are in tow; and red lights are apparently mistaken for green. What makes me even more upset is that seldom do I see law enforcement stopping these law-breakers.

Traffic laws are made to protect and save lives. The next time you feel rushed and must assume the role of a NASCAR driver, please keep in mind that not only is your safety at stake, mine is, too.
