Weber State University's Department of Visual Arts has named Monika Del Bosque as the new gallery director of the Mary Elizabeth Dee Shaw Gallery. Del Bosque has an MFA in Studio Arts and a certificate in museum collections management from John F. Kennedy University in Berkeley, Calif.
TURN community services will host its fourth annual benefit dinner, auction, art exhibit and sale, "Art & Soul," on Friday, Sept. 29, from 6:30-10 p.m. in the South Towne Exposition Center, 9575 S. The Kimball Art Center, 638 Park Ave., Park City, invites students ages 13 through 18, living in Summit or Wasatch counties, to join the Kimball Young Artists' Academy. Students will develop their art portfolio and resume, discuss art history, meet local artists, explore possible visual art careers. The City Library System is accepting entries, through Oct. 10, by artists wishing to exhibit in the city libraries.
