A pair of construction projects on I-15 in Utah County are expected to restrict lanes and create travel delays this week, the Utah Department of Transportation has announced.

Overnight resurfacing of I-15 started Saturday and will continue Tuesday and Wednesday. It will restrict traffic to two lanes in alternating directions between 800 North in Orem and 500 East in American Fork. The restrictions will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Express lanes will be open to all vehicles during the construction.

In Spanish Fork, the onramp from U.S. 6 to southbound I-15 will be closed 24 hours a day from Tuesday to Sept. 26 for bridge repair.

Motorists needing to access southbound I-15 can use U-198 (Canyon Road/300 South) to Main Street in Spanish Fork. Motorists also can use Center Street and 800 North to Main.

All heavy trucks needing to access southbound I-15 from U.S. 6 will be detoured along U-198 to Arrowhead Trail (U-164). Motorists should expect moderate to heavy travel delays.
