The Deseret Morning News Fall Home Improvement, Remodeling & Decorating Show takes place Oct. 6-8 at the South Towne Expo Center.

Chef J. Warren, regularly featured on NBC's "Today" show will demonstrate "The Joy of Chocolate" Oct. 6 at 2 p.m., Oct. 7 at 6 p.m. and Oct. 8 at 3 p.m. He will also teach "30-Minute Meals" Oct. 6 at 8 p.m., Oct. 7 at noon and 1 p.m., and Oct. 8 at 1 p.m. He teaches "Entertaining at Home" Oct. 6 at 6 p.m., Oct. 7 at 2:30 p.m. and Oct. 8 at 3 p.m.

Chef Bryan Woolley, who teaches at Luv to Cook in Logan, will do "Quick and Easy Appetizers" Oct. 6 at 5 p.m., "Incredible Cinnamon Rolls" Oct. 6 at 7 p.m., "Gourmet Cookies" on Oct. 7 at 1 and 4 p.m., and "Harvest Breads" on Oct. 8 at 2 p.m. Tickets to the Home Show are $7 for adults, $5 for 7-12, and free for children under age 6 (www.saltlakehomeshow.com or 485-7399).

Rumbi Island Grill has named two new corporate executives. Stuart Gee, who has worked for companies that own TGI Friday, Chili's Bar and Grill, and Romano's Macaroni Grill, has been named chief operating officer. Gee will will oversee training, operations, marketing and human resources and help build Rumbi Island Grill into a strong national brand, according to a press release from company owner Dave Duffin.

Deven Moreno, founder of Guru's, has been has been named director of operations. Moreno also worked for Einstein Bros. Bagels, Brick Oven and Baja Fresh.

Red Robin is sponsoring "The Next Gourmet Burger Kids Contest." Kids age 10 and under can submit an original gourmet burger creation and a 100-word statement on why it deserves to be served in Red Robin restaurants next summer.

Grand prize winner will receive a family vacation to Universal Studios Hollywood. Twelve semifinalists will compete in four regional competitions. The top four finalists will attend the annual Red Robin Leadership Summit in Miami, Fla., in January, where the grand-prize winner will be announced. Entry deadline is Oct. 15. Dairy Queen has named Peanut Peanut Butter Butterfinger its Blizzard flavor of the month. Average price is $2.59 for the 12 ounce, $3 for the 16-ounce size and $3.50 for the 21-ounce size.
