The National Outreach for Dancers will hold a free workshop for the Salt Lake dance community on Saturday in the Shiloh Inn, 206 S. West Temple. The event runs from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. One-on-one counseling — by appointment only — will begin at 2 p.m. and run until 6 p.m.
The workshop's goal is to help dancers who have retired from dancing but still want to work in the dance community. Workshops include:
Emotional Aspects of Change, Identification of Personal Interests and Skills
Career Possibilities for the Future
Grant and Scholarship Information
The National Outreach for Dancers includes the nonprofit organization Career Transition for Dancers, which has helped dancers for more than 20 years in New York and 10 years on Los Angeles, move onto other dance-related opportunities once they have stopped dancing professionally.
