Betty Lou Jacobson Allen

1935 ~ 2007

Betty Lou Jacobson Allen, 72 passed away 27 September 2007 of Pancreatic Cancer at her home in Spring City, Utah. She was born 12 September 1935, to Gustaf and Bessie Smith Jacobson in Murray, Utah. Betty married Duayne Heugly Allen on 23 March 1956 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She resided in Cottonwood, Highland and Spring City, Utah. She served and LDS Mission in Omaha, Nebraska (Mormon Trail Center). Betty was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a Temple Ordinance Worker in the Mount Timpanogas, Winter Quarters and Manti Temples. She loved activities with her family and friends including, temple trips, boating, fishing, camping and ATV riding. Her favorite pastime was knitting.

She is survived by: her husband; children, DeEtte (Fred) Spencer, Vernal, UT, Deaun (Blake) Woolsey, West Jordan, Brent (Lenis) Murray, Brad (Juliann) Riverton; grandchildren: Spencer's ~ Misty (Shawn) Morgan, Tonya, Dawn (Todd) Borders; Woolsey's ~ Jacob (Cori), Tyler, Trisha, Janice, Niles; Allen's ~ Jessica (Scott) Daw, Daniel, David, Breanna, Michaela, BJ, Cory and Wesley; great-grandchildren, Macy Morgan and Dallen Woolsey; sister, Phyllis Shepherd; brothers, Gus, Keith (Joyce), Steve (Carla), and Robert (Bobby) Jacobson.

A special thanks to the Hospice nurses, and aids, plus the ward and family members that assisted in caring for her during her illness.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, 1 October 2007, at 12:00 Noon in the Memorial Estates, Mountain View Mortuary Chapel at 3115 East 7800 South, Cottonwood Heights. Viewings will also be held at that facility on Sunday evening, 30 September, from 6 to 8 P. M. and Monday, 1 October, from 11:00 A.M. to 11:45 A.M.
