CENTERVILLE - Harold Berdell Haslam passed away September 27, 2007 and the world lost a great hero.

Harold was born September 2, 1930 to James and Martha Neilsen Haslam in Trenton, Utah. He married his sweetheart Shirley November 6, 1953. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Harold grew up in Trenton, Utah with his seven siblings. Harold graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in civil engineering. He was a lifelong University super fan and member of the Crimson Club, rarely missing any athletic event.

He was a dedicated father to his two sons and friends, Steve and Tim. Together they made many wonderful memories.

Harold had seven grandchildren who he loved dearly. He always had time to be with them and never missed an opportunity to support them. His investment of time and love in his grandchildren has blessed their lives and will never be forgotten. They greatly love him.

He had a strong and unwavering testimony and loved his Father in Heaven. He faithfully served him in many church positions. For the past ten years he served with his wife as service missionary coordinator in the membership department, where he was dearly loved.

Harold was a kind, gentle, loving and very generous man. He was always helping those in need. He was a friend to everyone and willingly took many into his house over the years. As a true cowboy, Harold loved his cowboy music and poetry. He was an excellent carver, and could often be found carving to his music.

Harold always had a joke to tell, and had a great sense of humor.
