Vouchers will serve us well

In some ways the one-room school offered something our technology-focused education is unable to accomplish: learning safely. The intimacy of the small class enables security and understanding. The learner who has difficulty getting what he knows out through the hand onto paper has the option to verbalize what he knows. The children who need "hands-on" can have the experience. Heuristic learning — learning from the inside out through discovery — significantly benefits all learners.

In my view it is time to look at what the learner needs in order to learn, rather than the educational system rational. To this end, I believe that vouchers will serve parents, children and public education well.
